Pak troops violate ceasefire once again.

Violating ceasefire for the fifth time this month, Pakistani troops targeted the Indian posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district. Pak troops fired using rocket projectile grenades (RPGs) and heavy machine guns along LOC in Doda Batallion forward area.
Heavy fires from either side continued for about 5 hours. There was no loss of life in the firing. The firing triggered panic among the people in the area, especially in Shahpur Kerni forward belt in Poonch.
The ceasfire violations this month include:
·         Firing on cops who had gone on LoC in Sabzian, Poonch on July 3 to collect the body of the Pakistani intruder killed in IED blast on July 1.
·         Firing on troops trying to evacuate injured porters after two were killed in IED attack by Pakistani militants along LoC in Poonch on July 8.
·         Firing on Indian forward posts in Pindi belt along international border (IB) in Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir on July 12.
·         Firing on Indian posts in forward area along LoC in Poonch district at on the night of July 22.

Top Army officials are monitoring the situation in wake of the heavyfiring along the border line and troops have been asked in other forward areas to intensify round the clock vigilance.
